Really informative! I do believe it is important to mention shipping insurance. I am not sure if every storefront offers it but I know Etsy does. It would be probably good to invest in if you're doing more traditional art so you can get reimbursed for any damaged or lost goods. From what I gather I don't see people recommending it for people that sell goods that are manufactured unless a package's value is very high.

Hear, hear. Unfortunately, from both the end of the artist and the end of the potential customer for that artist's work, the fact that making art is a professional artisanal skill is something that's not always appreciated. While the information age is exposing a lot more people to professional artists explaining the matter to them and raising awareness, in parallel AI (often free or low-cost sites) are creating the impression that a computer program can do what a professional artist can do for a fraction of the cost. I hope that this video gets a lot of traffic because more people need to hear it all said.

Her not being accurate to the lore shouldn't be everyones problem. If you guys wanted to have somethint accurate, then go read the book of Solomon. Helluva Boss isn't Christianitys reboot. It just takes inspiration from it and reimages things. If they didn't take their own creative liberties, then helluva would be dull, uninspired and done before. We shouldn't be getting upset at the show for trying new things.

A great alternative to Autodesk Maya is Blender. You’ve probably had that suggested by now, but it’s a great tool. Also completely free and open source. Though it might not be as good as industry standard tools, it certainly is still very capable. I prefer to use Blender over Maya and completed my games art course with it. Also, I ditched adobe recently. The price increase was bad enough but them stealing the art right from the start was the last straw for me. Now using Krita. It’s also a free, open source one. It’s ok but Procreate and Clip Studio Paint look better.

I've been using Affinity Photo for 5 years, and it's been going great. I primarily use Krita for sketching and line work. Affinity Photo for color and effects.

I still have issue with how often art was stollen before AI. Tracking, cut and paste, adding captions, replicating, parody, pop art, fan art, Easter eggs, memes, its all use of an other person's art with out asking or credit. Where do we draw the line? And Ai has done this before. so why now? Why do we care now? Why was it acceptable in the past? Can't AI be a replacement for the first draft sketch? A way to help invasion a character? No sane person would ever pay for AI art no sane person would ever use it professionally. AI should always be free. It should be impossible to sell, no rational person would ever buy it. No rational person would ever believe it.

the whole point of AI is to not pay for art. Any program that charges money for art would there for be pointless. At the end of the day the winner will be the one who comprehends the request at the lowest price with the fewest mistakes and the least amount of description. art is some thing we can all do for our selves for free. What we pay for is quality and only to appear critics. That and less work. If your product costs more then a rival we'll buy the rival. The next selling point then becomes quality. Products need to also last. At the end of the day you are competing with millions of others who are free in other methods. At the end of the day, if we all stop asking for so much money we will all pay less money, spend less money, need less money, have more money maybe ever stop needing money.

And I don’t really care what people do with them afterwards. Mines don’t really sell much bc of the whole instagram thing. But I just saw is as a chance to get money bc nobody buys commissions from me lol. I still don’t understand what closed species are till this day 😅

Another thing that bothers me SO MUCH is, she's the 'Patron' or smth of the Hellhounds, who canonically are as low or even lower than Imps in the hierarchy to the point of being treated as PETS, kept in cages and 'adopted' like puppies while being 100% sentient, humanoid beings, it simply doesn't *make sense* for Bee to be a hound (Obvious INSECT REFERENCE ASIDE)
